Publish to UAT

...

and PROD UPDATE

Publication to UAT will publish any the changes to the old and new UAT design automactically. It is the same checkbox in Contentstack.

...

You will probably have made various changes on existing web pages or in Contentstack and so far published them to UAT only.

Please note: Different from our standard approach, from now until the actual release day, UAT and PROD will no longer be consistent
Note

As soon as you make any updates for If you want to have any changes in your local web pages see published of PROD in the new design on 21st March 2024, please take care be aware that you need to publish them to UAT only and PROD.

While most of the design related updates would not have a negative impact on PROD, some may have. At least, please check carefully.

Info

If you don’t publish to Prod, the new design elements would not appear on Prod after the relaunch.

However, it will be your decision when you will do it for your individual local landing, service or support pages. You have the following options:

  • Publish all new design related changes you make form now on to UAT and Prod.

    • In some cases, this may lead to small “issues” in the old design, e.g. small images when a full-size woudl be more appropriate.

  • Continue publishing any changes to UAT only. Publish them to PROD a week before the relaunch.

    • We may need to freeze any publication for deployment reasons.

    • Take care not to forget. (wink)

  • Publish to PROD after the Design relaunch.

    • Take care not to forget. (wink)

Info

Please keep a few things in mind:

  1. If you added new design elemente (e.g. a 2nd tier teaser image or an Anchor link list) to a published landing page and made no more changes, you can publish to PROD at any time. They will not be visible in the old design.

  2. If you added new design elements and made updates in the content block, then publish to PROD, in the old design the changes you made in the content block will be visible in the old design.

Examples:

  1. If you made a full-size image 1/3 width, in the old design the image may appear too small for a few weeks

  2. If you use the new h4 or h5 headlines for the new design, in the old design, they will appear as h1.

  3. If you use an “image headline”, and take a sentence out of the existing text field for that, in the old design, this sentence will be missing.
