  1. Your headlines
You have to set one main headline (H1) in your web pages, in the main teaser. Use important keywords and those, your audience will most probably search for in Google. Try to keep it up to 50 characters. This ensures a proper display in search results.
    1: Create a Web Page → Web Page → Main Teaser H1

  2. The slug
The slug is the visible last part of a web page URL. E.g. https://www.example.com/de/the_page_title. “the_page_title” is the slug. In Contentstack, the slug will be created automatically when you create a Web Page. You see it in the URL field.
However, check the URL. With a click on the pencil icon at the right side of the field, you can edit the URL.
a: If your H1 headline contains special characters, these have to be managed. (Contentstack will replace special characters with a dash (“-”). It’s better to replace them.)
b: If the Web Page should be recognized by Google as a page within a page tree, you have to set the super-ordinated (parent) pages by hand: e.g. you create a page with a list of training locations and call it in the H1 Headline “Locations”. Contentstack will automatically set the URL to “/locations”. To put it into the page tree fro SEO, you must add “/support” at the beginning, followed by “/locations”. The final url would be https://www.example.com/de/support/location.
1: Create a Web Page → Web Page → URL

  3. META title and description
The frontend will automatically use the H1 Headline as META title and the first paragraph of the content as META description. However, you can optimize both in the Web Page.
1: Create a Web Page → Web Page → Show SEO Settings → SEO Settings

  4. Alt tags for images
If you add a new image to Contentstack, you must create an Entry in “Image” and provide an Image Title. This title will be used as Alt tag in the frontend. Try to keep it short and use important keywords, if possible. Also, it’s recommendable to use unique images which have added value for your website visitors instead of stock images.
1: Create a Web Page → Web Page → Content Blocks for the main content → Text/Image/Links → Image
