In order to add specific local GDPRs in a contact form, it is necessary to follow these steps:

1: Localize ‘'ContentType’' Additional local GDPR

1. Goto → Additional local GDPR

2. Select an entry which refers to your purpose

3. Open entry and add adjustments

All website contact forms offer three options to fulfill central and local GDPR and legal requirements.

1: Central GDPR

The central checkbox links to MEU’s privacy policy on the respective local website (in its local version). All website users need to accept that before they can submit the form

The central checkbox is required for all website contact forms and thus added to each form as default.

2: Local GDPR (additional for all contact forms)

If you require additional local GDPR confirmations which are applicable for all local website forms, you can add them as “Local confirmations” in 2: Create a Contact Form - Contact Form Settings - GDPR. They will be added to the default setting as described in 1:

💡 In order to localize / adapt them to your local needs, go to 2: Create a Contact Form - Contact Form, Settings - GDPR.

  1. Scroll down to Local confirmations, Open the “Instance(s)”

  3. Choose Confirmation type

    1. Checkbox

    2. Radio button

  4. For “Checkbox” you can choose “Required”, if the local GDPR instance is mandatory to be accepted before the user can submit the form.

  5. If you chose “Radio button” you need to define the text next to the buttons, e.g. “I agree”, “I don’t agree”.

3: Local GDPR for dedicated purposes

Some website contact forms may require additional local GDPR for dedicated purposes. For example, if you invite to an event which you manage together with a third party with whom you share data.

💡 In order to add such specific local GDPRs to that contact form, you will need to make two steps. You won’tstart from “Contact form setting GDPR”, but from 2: Create a Contact Form - Contact form Settings - Additional Local GDPR.

Step 1: Create the specific local GDPR

  1. Go to 2: Create a Contact Form - Contact form Settings - Additional Local GDPR.

  2. Create a “New Entry”

  3. Choose an Internal Name which makes it easy for you to identify it, e.g. Third Party XYZ

  4. Add a group entry to “Local confirmations”. Follow the steps listed above.

  5. Save and Publish

: Reference “Additional local GDPR” to your respective contact form

  1. Go to your localized form or localize (via save-button) your form , if it’s not done yetCheck for

  2. Scroll down to item 1.1 in your form template and click on ‘'choose existing entry’' to reference to your specific GDPRPublish : Additional local GDPR

  3. Choose the existing entry you created in Step 1:

  4. Continue with the maintenance of the rest of the form

  5. Save and Publish
